| CALYPSO Soft Drinks Limited has been established for over 120 years. The business based in Tattenhall, Cheshire, was founded in 1886 as a dairy by two farming brothers George and John Cooke and became incorporated in 1929. In 1938 a borehole was sunk to supply water to the factory. Over 75 million litres of water per year was extracted for use in the company’s soft drinks. |

During the 1950’s considerable packaging expertise was acquired and the first diversification into soft drinks took place. Calypso was the first to develop milk cartons with Tetra Pak, developed Milk Flavoured drinks and soft drinks in 1/3 pint bottles. In 1958 the brand name Calypso was registered as a trade mark in the UK. In the same year, the first Tetra Pak machine in the UK was installed. |

| In 1965 the milk business was sold to the Express Dairy Company so that the company could concentrate on its expanding soft drinks business. In 1993 a new bore hole, was installed at Tattenhall to natural mineral water standards, replacing the old borehole. Giving life to a new source of water, Peckforton Hills Spring Water, pure and of exceptional quality now sold in Bulk as part of Total Water Solutions Ltd. product offerings. |

In 1995 Calypso invests in further Tetra Pak machinery - Tetra Classic machines, which today produce the famous Jubbly brand. Calypso Annual turnover reached £23 million from £3.5 million in 1987. In 1998 Calypso moves to a new purpose built plant in Wrexham, North Wales, a plant more fitting for the size of the business. The Duke of Kent officially opened the new multi-million pound factory on a 15 acre site in July of the same year. |

| The Environment Agency granted Calypso a licence to extract Spring Water from the boreholes at the new plant. In 2001, after many months of hard work tracing the direction and age of the water, the source was given Natural Mineral Water Status and named Calypso Natural Mineral Water. Calypso currently extracts millions of litres of this water. |

Today, Calypso Soft Drinks are available in cups (185ml), cuplets (85ml), bottles (200ml, 250ml, 330ml, 350ml and 500ml PET) and cartons (150ml, 200ml & 250ml). CALYPSO is the UK market leader with Calypso cup drinks and Jubbly ice lollies and produces over 500 million units per year. The latest exciting new product development has been the launch of Calypso Aquajuice juicy waters with over 50% pure fruit juice blended with natural mineral water. |

| CALYPSO is also a major European producer of freezedrinks available in various sizes, packages and flavours and these products are a great success amongst young consumers. Brands include world famous TV characters, for example Scooby Doo and The Simpsons. This range has been strengthened by the relaunch of the popular Jubbly brand. In addition Calypso is the only company in Europe to produce natural mineral water ice cubes. CALYPSO Soft Drinks is ISO9002 and EFSIS accredited. Calypso has also recently acquired Organic Accreditation from the Soil Association enabling the company to progress with the production of healthy organic drinks. In 2004, Calypso began production of Fairtrade pure orange and apple juices to help support small farmers around the world. These are packaged in both 200ml cartons and 500ml bottles and add further choice to the Calypso healthy drinks range. |

In October 2006, Peter and Richard Cooke completed a successful management buyout to return ownership of the company to the Cooke family, 120 years after their great grandfather had started it. |
