20.04.2007 Calypso have signed up some of the world’s most popular film and TV stars to front their revised Freezepops line-up for the 2007 summer season.The Simpsons continue to star on the 20x50ml size in outers of ten, with Bart himself featuring on each Freezepop in a range of lemonade, cola, orange, strawberry and blackcurrant flavours. Already the most watched, longest-running primetime animated series in history, ‘The Simpsons’ is currently on both terrestrial and satellite TV, with a movie due to hit UK cinemas in July. Retailers will also be able to cash in on the excitement surrounding the UK release of the third ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movie, World’s End, on May 25th by displaying Calypso’s latest aisle-end half-pallet shippers featuring 20x50ml Freezepops in a choice of Pirates of the Caribbean and Scooby Doo branding. Sugar-free ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Freezepops are targeted for wide appeal across all ages, while Scooby Doo - featuring the star of the highest-rated and longest-running continually produced cartoon series ever - will be aimed at the four-to-nine years age group. Meanwhile, sugar-free Safari Freezepops are moving to a new recipe with natural colours and in five fruity flavours. They are aimed at the three-to-eleven years age group and are available in packs of 40x20ml.
