30.03.2007 Thirsty kids on the go now have a fun new way to enjoy the goodness of pure fruit juice.Calypso Juice Shots are big on flavour with 100% pure, smooth orange juice - but small enough to tuck into the corner of a school lunchbox and equally handy at breakfast or snack time. Launched in more than 600 Tesco stores from April, Juice Shots are the latest addition to Calypso’s ‘school approved’ range of drinks which meet the new government standards for healthy food and drink. As a pure fruit juice they naturally contain no added sugar, no artificial colours or flavours, and have a convenient 10-months shelf life at ambient temperatures thanks to Calypso’s aseptic packaging technology. "Juice Shots are bang on target for retailers, as well as for mums and kids," says Richard Cooke, Calypso’s Sales and Marketing Manager. "Although the 12-pack 85ml cuplet formula has been successful in other areas such as hospitals and airlines, it is completely new to the ambient single-serve pure juice retail market which is already worth £33m and growing at more than 10percent year-on year. "We believe Juice Shots will fuel further growth by appealing to mums as a convenient way to provide a healthy lunchbox drink, and to kids as a new cool way to drink juice." |
